Good evening,

I'm just curious as to thoughts on identifying multiples offices of record for the same records series on a retention schedule. Any one doing that? If so, what's the rationale behind it? I'm admittedly old skewl in my thinking that it should be a 1:1 relationship between a record series and an office of record.

Thoughts?

If I understand correctly, is it possible there needs to be a quick response time for records access due to the decentralization of information?

@aysasi Not necessarily, some records simply have multiple offices of record for the same records series... albeit with the same retention period (thank goodness).

Thanks.

Not uncommon, but certainly recommend migrating to a centralized electronic system with controlled access and encryption to reduce risk the documents are higher risk.
