MILE HIGH DENVER CHAPTER OF ARMA

CALL FOR SPEAKERS!

The Mile High Denver Chapter of ARMA is seeking speakers for the 2019-2020 program year and 2020 Spring Seminar.

Do you have a great story to tell? Are you interested in sharing expertise, real-world strategies, best practices and how-tos? If so, we want to hear from you!

THE IDEAL SPEAKER IS:

  • Experienced, engaging, and comfortable speaking in front of groups

  • Passionate about sharing their RIM and IG expertise and knowledge about the following topics:

    • Information Governance

    • Managing Risk & Compliance

    • Data Governance

    • Managing Records and Disposition in Microsoft 365 (including SharePoint)

    • Auditing the RIM Program or Enterprise Compliance

    • Defensible Destruction

    • Trends in Discovery and Legal Holds

    • Managing Non-Records

    • Data and Asset Mapping

    • Records Inventories, Classification, and Taxonomies

    • Optimizing Operations

    • Effective Frameworks

    • Managing Big Data

    • Obtaining Certifications (CRM, IGP)

  • Committed to sharing information about the Mile High Denver Chapter of ARMA on their social networks

  • Able to provide 50 min. or a half-day program; programs can include interactive lectures, workshops, panels, round-tables, or any combination the four

Location: PPA Event Center 2105 Decatur St. Denver, CO 80211

Program Dates and Times:

  • 9/17/2019: 11am-1pm

  • 11/12/2019: 11am-1pm (Location TBD)

  • 1/21/2020: 8:00am-12:00pm (1/2 day)

  • 2/18/2020: 11am-1pm

  • 3/17/2020: 11am-1pm

  • 4/21/2020: Spring Seminar (Location TBD)

  • 5/19/2020: 11am-1pm

  • 6/16/2020: TBD

TO APPLY, EMAIL THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION TOBOOKINGS@ARMADENVER.ORG BY MONDAY, AUGUST 19TH.

  • Include your name, contact information, employer, social media handles, and bio

  • Provide a program title and concise description of the presentation in less than 100 words

  • Outline the value of the presentation with 2-3 bullet points

  • Discuss the format: interactive lecture, workshop, panel (if a panel, please include the names of the other panel speakers)

  • Recent speaking experience

  • Preferred program date

  • Rates/Fees/Travel Expenses/Honorariums if required

IF CHOSEN YOU WILL:

  • Agree not to sell products, services, or advertise or promote specific systems or services

  • Create a presentation that uses only your work; or work that others have authorized you to use

  • Agree not to use subject matter which is libelous, or which infringes any proprietary, personal, or intellectual property right of any person, including, but not limited to privacy, copyright, or trade secrets

  • Allow the Mile High Denver Chapter of ARMA to use your likeness for promotional materials, and post your slides or other educational materials to the MHD ARMA website

  • Provide your presentation via USB or email and use the venue’s computer and sound system

*If your presentation is not chosen this year, your application will be kept on file and considered for future opportunities.

The Mile High Denver Chapter of ARMA is a not-for-profit organization that advances the practice of Records and Information Management as a discipline and profession within Colorado. We provide educational programs, networking events and other services to our members. Most speakers and their companies recognize the importance of being part of the MHD ARMA educational events and embrace a philanthropic spirit by funding travel and lodging.
