ICRM Announces Members of Mentor Committee and Calls for Mentors

Greetings from the ICRM Mentoring Committee,

Since the ICRM began offering a mentoring program for all exam parts in 2020, we have seen a tremendous growth in the number of individuals requesting mentors for their certification process. This unprecedented interest has left us with a need for new mentors to meet this demand.

As the ICRM continues to expand and enhance the mentoring program, we would like to ask each of you to consider joining us in meeting the needs of these future CRAs and CRMs. Amid your already hectic schedule, it is sometimes difficult to carve out time. However, the amount of time required is minimal and there is a great satisfaction in assisting a candidate. As a mentor myself, I was surprised at my own professional growth as I worked with individuals to achieve a professional goal and open new opportunities for them. There is a tangible benefit as well. As a mentor, you would also be eligible for CMPs for everyone you mentor.

As part of the support provided by the Mentoring Program, we have a basic introduction presentation to provide guidance and we provide study materials for you to use. The resources make the job of a mentor much easier. If you mentored in the past, this new material will be a big assist. Perhaps you had a mentor through the certification process. I am one of those individuals who followed the path without a guide and it was much more difficult. Part of my desire to serve on the Mentoring Committee was to make sure others who wanted help would be able to find it through the ICRM.

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce our Mentoring Committee.

Elizabeth (Beth) Canter, Parts 1-5 lead

Bryan LeFils

Tim O’Toole

Each of us on the Mentoring Committee are here to provide you with the support you need to be a successful mentor. As the Mentoring Lead, Beth is responsible for assigning mentees to mentors, so you will be working with her once you become a mentor.

If you are interested in becoming a mentor or have any questions, please contact us at mentor@icrm.org.

Thank you for supporting our candidates’ growth, development, and success.
Thank you,
Deborah Robbins, CRM
