FEMA and HHS Civil Rights Stakeholder Teleconference about COVID-19

The Office for Civil Rights (OCR) at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will be joining a teleconference sponsored by FEMA’s Office of Equal Rights (OER) concerning the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) response, to share information and to hear civil rights-related concerns. Also joining the call will be FEMA’s Office of Disability Integration and Coordination (ODIC), which will provide updates on their regional coordination activities. Both FEMA and HHS will share information, as well as address questions that are on the minds of our stakeholders, and dispel rumors and any misinformation.

The first call will be held on THURSDAY APRIL 16, 2020, 3:00PM-4:00PM (EASTERN). The frequency of additional calls will be discussed with stakeholders, to gather input. Scheduling information will be shared via FEMA and HHS listservs.
