ARMA International Announces Merger with Information Coalition and InfoGov Con along with other changes

October 9th, 2018

During a call to ARMA Members today, Jocelyn Gunter, CEO of ARMA International, announced a merger with the Information Coalition and InfoGov Con.  Information Coalitions Founder, Nick Inglis, will be ARMA’s Executive Director of Content and Jim Merrifield will be in Business Development.  According to ARMA, there will be no changes to ARMA chapters.

ARMA further announced there will be a second version of their Information Governance Body of Knowledge (IGBOK) published before the ARMA International 2018 conference.  The foundation of the IGBOK, which was released earlier this year is the conceptual body of knowledge, but the full IGBOK will be ready by the conference.  The IGBOK was modeled after PMI’s Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) that brought Project Management from a role to a profession.

ARMA now has an app.  The previous event app is now part of the full ARMA app.  You can find this app in the app store and a following link will be sent out to members.

Last, as of October 22nd, 2018 ARMA will have a discount code to all full-time students who are part of a degree-conferring program for a $25.00 professional members.
